Okay, so you want to purchase a pleasurable or cheeky gift for someone. That’s awesome! But when it comes to such intimate items, how do you know what to choose? The last thing you want is to buy someone a sex toy that they won’t use, so we’ve created this guide to better gifting to help find the perfect item for that special someone.

1) Gift sets and kits

If you are looking to splurge, you could consider a gift set. Usually containing two or more items, sex toy gift sets are a great way to really treat someone, or get them started on their toy journey. One of my all-time favourites is the We-Vibe Tango Pleasure Mate Kit. It has a strong, sturdy rechargeable bullet vibrator and two body safe silicone toys that are compatible with the bullet vibe. This basically guarantees there will be something for everyone in this kit, and it is beautifully packaged to boot.

Of course, if you can’t find a gift set that seems quite right, you could always buy a few items and create your own personalised gift box! Cute!

2) All-rounders

If you aren’t sure what type of stimulation the person is into, you’ll want to hedge your bets with a good “all-rounder” sex toy. These are the sex toys that can offer a wide range of bodies a wider range of pleasure options.

The most common of which is the bullet vibrator (also known as a lipstick vibrator). These small, strong toys are available in a range of materials and in a range of price points. They deliver targeted vibration to any external part of the body, and are considered a staple toy by Nikki Darling.

Another good all rounder is an anal plug (also known as a butt plug). These toys can be worn by anyone, and there are lots of safe, fun options available in stainless steel or silicone. Some are fun and brightly coloured whilst others are more understated, but there is an anal plug to suit every personality!

3) Not Sex Toys

If you aren’t sure that your giftee will be receptive to a sex toy gift, perhaps it is best to err on the side of caution and stick to something a little less insertable. Perhaps a book on the history of feminist sex toy stores or a super cute cat pin is in order. And don’t forget the greeting card!

4) Gift vouchers

Still feeling indecisive? This is why gift vouchers were created. Saying, “I think you should treat yourself to a vibrator, but I know you’ll want to choose it yourself” is a super considerate way to give a sex toy gift. And shopping for sex toys is an exciting experience in itself!

If you are stuck for ideas, or want guidance on choosing the right toy for you or someone else, drop us a line and we’ll be happy to help!
